Registration Up Six Percent in 2010
San Diego, Calif.--The Active Network, Inc. announces that online registrations it processed for youth camps across the United States increased six percent over last year. The findings are the result of online registrations processed in 2009 and 2010 from January through May through Active Network’s CampRegister division, a provider of online registration and camp management software.
In addition to an increase in the online registrations it processed for youth camps over the previous year, Active Network’s key findings from the transactions it reviewed included the following:
• Over 54 percent of camps in 2010 experienced growth in online registration over 2009.
• Although the cost to attend camp in 2009 saw a decrease due to one-time discounts during the recession, the average cost to attend camp for one week in 2010 is identical to 2008.
• Small- and large-sized youth camps experienced similar growth on average.
• May continues to be the most popular month to register online for youth camps accounting for approximately 16 percent of annual online registrations.

Easton Foundation Lends A Hand In Youth Sports
Los Angeles--The Easton Foundations announces that over the last year it has funded over $4.8 million in grants and programs for archery, youth baseball, softball, and cycling, as well as education and medical research. Each year the foundation gives out grants which benefit archery and/or bow hunting.
Grant requests of less than $25,000 from qualified 501(c)3 organizations may be eligible to receive funding. Grants that exceed $25,000, or applicants that are not qualified 501(c)3 organizations may also receive funding.
