New Game Challenges Puzzlers

Catherine Eagleson, founder of Crosswords for Fun , has given puzzlers a new challenge.

Crack the Codeword is like a crossword puzzle, but adds an air of mystery with a code instead of clues. Every puzzle contains everything needed to crack the code--the puzzle grid and a small number of given letters to start the puzzler off.

By starting with the given letters, puzzlers can start to fill in the blanks of the crossword board. Then educated guesses and undeniable alphanumeric pairs are inserted and players can begin to crack the code and finish the puzzle.

These games can be played by anyone young or old looking to give their mind a little workout.
