Creating A More Joyful Journey

As a passionate advocate for camp, I feel strongly that what sets our industry apart is the ability to share with one another our challenges, obstacles, solutions and best practices. We are a uniquely supportive community—one that is made up of individuals that seek out opportunities to connect and share new ideas. While I am no longer a full-time camp professional, I have the privilege of working with camp professionals around the country as they consider the ways in which they can build stronger camp programs and bring a better camp experience to more children. The convergence of education and camp is creating a unique opportunity to formalize and increase the efficacy of the conversations that are already happening online and in the hallways of conferences.

As readers of Camp Business magazine, we look for perspective from our peers that offer the kind of guidance and support which makes the business of camp a smoother, more joyful journey. I hope this issue provides that and more.
