Yes – the Bunk1 solution is cloud-based and accessible from anywhere that you have access to the Internet. We do not have a desktop version so Internet is required. The camp-management aspect is accessible on mobile devices but utilizes the device’s web browser. It will work very well on a tablet but is not responsive for a mobile device. Our front end for parent login is mobile responsive and will adjust so that parents can view photos and send Bunk Notes from their mobile devices.

Yes – the Bunk1 solution supports unlimited camps, sessions, programs and options. Discount codes are available, tiered pricing can be implemented for sessions, and additional charges can be added. The solution is designed to be very customizable. If camps need to adjust pricing or apply discounts on the backend, they have the ability to do so easily and conveniently. Our solution does support manual registrations but it is not possible to adjust anything offline. Our solution does allow for multiple registrations and it’s very simple for a parent to add another camper to the same application.

Yes – camps can produce an unlimited number of forms and can build a new form at their convenience. Bunk1 provides unlimited support throughout the process so a camp administrator will always have assistance from a Bunk1 representative. If a camp customer is logging into their account to complete a form online, any data already in the system will be pre-filled for them. They maintain the ability to adjust as necessary. Forms can be limited based on a system status and all “parents” in our system will currently have access to the same forms. Bunk1 is working on extending the options and flexibility with forms.

Yes – camps have the ability to use their current merchant service provider as long as they are compatible with Authorize.net or Payflow Pro. Camp directors are not required to use a Bunk1 specific provider. All relevant components of our solution are PCI compliant.

Yes – camps have the ability to send mass emails, save emails as templates, and merge in data. Users have the ability to create and save custom reports. A Bunk1 representative is always available to assist with generating reports without any additional cost to the customer. Bunk1 recognizes that every camp operates slightly differently. During the training, a Bunk1 representative will set up and save the most common reports required by the camp director. These become the user’s standard reports and we do not limit the number of reports.

It is possible to set up an alumni email list and save email templates to be used for alumni but emails are not automatically sent.

There are two ways for users to create cabin/group assignments: one is a drag-and-drop functionality, the other is by selecting a cabin/group for an individual from a drop-down menu. This allows camp directors to start the general process via drag-and-drop functionality, then refine it for more complex decisions.

In addition to a medical section, Bunk1 offers camps the ability to create an unlimited number of custom medical fields, categorize those questions, and then report on the data.

Transportation related to both day and overnight camp is addressed with this solution.

Campscheduling.com (currently a separate component, is in the testing phase of being fully integrated into this solution – parents are able to complete online activity preference forms. Camps can auto-schedule campers, conduct special event scheduling, print rosters, and implement activity restrictions or capacities.

Our solution allows for inventory management, multiple camp stores, the ability to add store credit, and the ability to charge campers simultaneously, which will deduct from their camp store accounts. The camp store is linked with inventory management so inventory is deducted as purchases are made. Users can therefore determine total sales based on inventory levels.

Prospects can be easily managed with our solution and specific inquiry forms can be designed to generate leads.

History can be tracked and monitored, and our solution is able to seamlessly convert staff and campers to alumni.

7.       Other Features

a.       Do you offer a solution for Conference Centers? Is it included or an add-on? While it is possible to manage this component, our solution is not the most suitable for those requiring extensive conference center management

Again, this is possible with our system but we do not offer the most comprehensive donor tracking available on the market.

 Yes, included. Our easy-to-use web-based system allows your photographer(s) to easily upload photos in a matter of minutes. There is NO software needed. Bunk1’s photo management system allows you to organize your photos in folders, add captions, and tag photos so parents can search for their children.

CampBrain

We offer two versions of CampBrain: 1) cloud-based, accessible from anywhere on anything with a web browser, HTML5 front-end; 2) desktop-based (Windows) software with a cloud-based online registration portal for parents.

Yes, CampBrain is accessible from any device with a web browser.

It is accessible using the device’s web browser.

All CampBrain screens (back-end and front-end) are designed to fit a tablet’s screen size. Front-end screens (where parents register) are designed to be more responsive to a smartphone’s screen size.

CampBrain can support an unlimited number of business units (sites or locations), allowing for different users to have access to different business units. With the business units, the software supports unlimited camps, sessions and options. It can also support unlimited seasons so that organizations may have multiple types of programs operating at one time or throughout the year (i.e., summer camp, after-school programs, adult retreats).

b.       Does your solution support various pricing options (discount codes, tiered, etc.)?

CampBrain supports a variety of pricing options such as early bird rates, staff rates, tiered prices, member pricing, the use of discount codes, etc.

c.        Can your solution support offline adjustments and/or manual registrations?

Yes, camps can manually register campers and make offline adjustments to records.

d.       Can your solution support multiple, simultaneous registrations (i.e., multiple family members)?

With CampBrain, families can register as many family members as they like for whatever programs they want, all in one screen (in one step). Further, the system only displays eligible programs to each camper (based on age, grade and/or gender).

CampBrain allows for unlimited online forms with unlimited fields. Camps may create those forms and define what types of fields they want to use (i.e., multiple choice, text). Further, certain responses to questions may trigger or open additional questions and fields.

b.       Can you build forms as needed?

Yes, forms may be added as necessary by the camp.

c.        Do forms pre-populate data already in the system?

Yes, household data and data attributed to campers may be pre-populated in the forms to reduce data entry for customers.

d.       Can you limit the forms your parents see based on their need?

Yes, camps may establish forms to appear based on appropriate dates (i.e., activate a medical form closer to the summer) and activate forms based on registration (i.e., a certain form only applies to a specific session). Forms may also be created that are “offline” as well, just for office use.

4.       Payment Processing

a.       Can you use your current merchant services provider?

Yes, camps may choose to use any merchant services provider they want. This is critical to keeping credit card fees as low as possible for camps.
 

b.       If not, what are the fees you charge to use your provider?

Camps may choose their own merchant account but, if they wish,  we provide a merchant account with the following rate: Interchange + 25 basis points and $0.11/transaction
 

c.        Is your system PCI compliant? Yes

5.       Reporting

a.       Does your solution allow for mass email functionality?

Yes, CampBrain provides mass email functionality and you may also choose to attach personalized files to those emails (i.e., each parent receives their invoice or confirmation).

Yes, we have tools that enable users to create their own reports on the fly or our staff can customize reports as well.

c.        How many/which reports come standard?

Depending on the platform (web vs. desktop) and modules used, there are potentially hundreds of standard reports available. Reports cover the spectrum of financial (i.e., revenue summaries, deposit journals, cash basis versus accrual accounting, etc.), registration (e.g., registration summaries, rosters), cabins and groups, medical (i.e., medication lists, food allergies and dietary restrictions), transportation (i.e., bus rosters, flight lists), schedules, labels, contracts, and many, many more.

d.       Does your solution allow reports to be viewed as dashboards?

Yes, CampBrain has dashboard reports available as well. Reports may also be exported to other format such as PDF, Excel, Word, CSV, XML, etc., all with a single click.

Yes, we provide drag and drop cabin/group assignment. This same tool may also be used for any other grouping that a camp may need to do (i.e., assigning teams).
 

b.       Does your solution collect and report on medical data? Is there a limit to how much data can be collected and reported on?

CampBrain has a sophisticated medical management module that separates medical data into seven logical sections, making collection from organized and simple. The module is easy to use for camp staff, allowing them to choose which sections, fields and questions they want to use and allowing for lots of customization within those parameters. The module is then used for excellent reporting during the summer and for health staff to use with campers on site. There are no limits to collection or reporting.
 

c.        Does your solution address transportation needs? Yes, CampBrain handles transportation.
           i.      Can it create a transportation schedule? Yes, CampBrain can produce transportation schedules.
           ii.      Does it handle both day and overnight camp needs?

CampBrain has a unique module just for day camps to handle door-to-door busing, stop pickup and drop off, daily bus changes and daily notes to the bus drivers. It also supports overnight camps with their bus and flight transportation needs, producing such reports as bus lists and flight pick-up lists.

d.       How does your solution handle activity/program scheduling?

CampBrain has a dedicated scheduling module that handles group-based, individual choice and staff scheduling. Schedules may be auto-populated based on preferences and availability. Reports include individual camper schedules, cabin/group schedules, master schedules, activity attendance lists, etc.

e.        Can your solution track camp store purchases, inventory, sales by session and overall product sales?

CampBrain’s camp store module tracks camper and staff purchases, sales by individual, overall product sales, sales by session, camp store deposits and end-of-session balances on account. It does not track product purchases and inventory balances.

Yes, CampBrain does track prospects.

g.       Can your solution track effectiveness of advertising/marketing campaigns?

For online advertising, CampBrain has Google Tag Manager built-in to allow for effective tracking of online leads and results (i.e., Google analytics). For manual advertising, CampBrain can track those sources as well and report on the success of those campaigns.

CampBrain maintains the complete history of all campers and staff and they automatically become alumni in the system.

i.         Can your solution automatically communicate with camp alumni?

Based on knowing the history of each camper and staff member, camps can choose the entire group or a subset thereof in order to communicate with alumni (i.e., email, mailing). This is all part of our communication center – a section of the system that has excellent filtering capabilities in order to narrow the specific group of people you want to identify (i.e., the campers in Cabin 2 from Session 3 in Summer 2007).

Yes, we have a complete conference center module for group bookings (i.e., groups, resource management, meal management, housing, calendars, contracts, financial, etc.). It can be purchased as a package with the camp side or as a stand-alone piece.

b.       Do you offer a solution for tracking donors? Is it included or an add-on?

Yes, we provide a donor management system that tracks donors, pledges, campaigns, funds, receipts, etc. It may be added to our camp and conference center management modules or purchased as a stand-alone.

c.        Do you offer a photo/video solution? Is it included or add-on?

CampBrain integrates SmugMug into the system. Parents may download photos for free, purchase prints at very reasonable prices (under $1) and they are not charged for access to the system. It is an optional add-on.

d.       Do you offer camper email (one-way) service? Is it included or an add-on?

CampBrain has an email service for parents. It is completely free for parents. There is also a scan-and-email service for campers to communicate with their parents. Both services are add-ons.
