Thor Industries Makes LEAP For Students

Indiana-based Thor Industries, the world’s largest RV manufacturer, is engaging local students like never before with the LEAP (Learn, Engage, Achieve, Perform) program, a career-readiness education initiative designed to capture students’ interest in the area’s robust RV industry. LEAP has seen tremendous success since its launch in 2017, and the program will reach 5,000 students this school year alone.

LEAP helps school districts meet Indiana’s educational requirements of applied learning and real-world experience, and the three curriculum levels, fifth grade, eighth grade and high school, provide students with differentiated, experiential learning.

According to the Association of American Colleges and Universities, experiential learning “helps students both to bridge classroom study and life in the world and to transform inert knowledge into knowledge-in-use,” and LEAP facilitates those classroom-to-real-world connections and exposes them to career pathways.
