RJ Thomas Announces Retirements

RJ Thomas Mfg. Co., Inc. wishes to extend best wishes to Paula Smith and to Bob Simonsen, both of whom will be retiring in September.

“We’ve been very fortunate to have both Paula and Bob as members of the RJ Thomas Family for so many years,” officials write. “Together they will be taking over 65 years of combined experience with them.”

Smith has been with the company full-time since 1984, and worked part-time prior to that. In her 38 years with the company, she has been an integral part of the vital front-line customer service team. She will be greatly missed by co-workers and customers alike. Smith has plans for lots of traveling, gardening, and spending more time with her grandchildren.

Simonsen has been a vital part of our sales and marketing team for 27 years. He has been a key component in coordinating tradeshow involvement, maintaining their website, establishing a robust marketing strategy, and has contributed greatly to product development.

“Between his plans to visit all the National Parks in the United States and spending time with his grandchildren, we know that Bob will be keeping himself very busy,” officials write.

A luncheon was held in their honor on Sept. 1.
